Aikido at the Abiding Spirit Center
|
Aikido is a non-violent, non-competitive Japanese art that uses paired practice as the main method of training. Though it is a physical process, it also develops the mind and spirit. Training focuses on defense rather than offense and protection rather than destruction. The practice is challenging but not rough, and is suited for adults and children alike. Those who train find added benefits in stress management, focus, concentration, and improved health. |
The Abiding Spirit Aikikai offers Aikido classes for adults and children, as well as private lessons. We serve McHenry, Cook, Lake and Will Counties, IL and cities such as Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Woodstock, Elgin, McHenry, Lake in the Hills, Huntley and Carpentersville, as well as other areas. We do not require contracts for training; membership continues on a month-to-month basis. Also, we offer family and student discounts. Our classes are always open for observation, or a free trial. Hope to see you on the mat!
