Mindfulness, The Art of “Now-ing”
Saturday, 8/26
10:00am – noon
$25
“Be here now – where else can you be?” - Lama Surya Das, www.dzogchen.org
Open to all levels, this session will delve into the ways in which we can use traditional techniques to bring us to the present moment with fresh awareness that restores mental, physical, and emotional clarity.
We will explore the practices of meditation, focused / relaxed breathing, and mind-body practices associated with energy meridians that will help us to experience the natural ease with which we can exist.
As we begin to notice how we carry stress and how quickly the patterns of mind take over, we can also begin to learn how to adjust our reactions to all that we encounter – putting the ability to deal with stress, tension, and dis-ease naturally within our grasp.
Inner Peaceful Being.
It is there, in our natural state.
We need only reach it.
This workshop will be led by Michelle L. Tate, Licensed & Board Certified Acupuncturist, Mind-Body Arts Practitioner. Aside from her acupuncture practice, Michelle studies Dzogchen and is a student of Lama Surya Das. She also trains in Aikido, holding the rank of 4th degree black belt.
Please let us know if you intend to come and we'll reserve your place, and please feel free to pass this along to anyone else you feel might be interested!
Wear comfortable clothes and bring a cushion to sit on if you'd like.
